Tonight at 5pm I am reading at Chapters on Granville and Broadway from 4poets, as part of the Earth Day Author Series that Chapters is doing.

Yes, it is lovely that the book is a made-in-BC book. BC artists, BC poets and BC publishers.
Hope to see you there.

Neat! Hope it goes well. I’d come out and see it, but I’m off to the island today.

  2. Daniela Elza Says:

Thanks, Rob. It sure was one of the “interesting” readings I have had.:-) Enjoy the island.

This would have been nice to attend, had I read it one day earlier … ah well. Glad to hear it was “interesting” (the quotation marks you use on this word suggest there’s an interesting story to tell) :-)

    Thanks K.,

It would have been great to see you there. You would have been a valuable addition to my three people audience, one of whom was my husband. It gave me a taste of what it might feel like to be a poet busker on granville island (I have always wondered how that would feel), without the option for change, and a bunch of empty chairs. A valuable experience for sure.

It definitely makes me appreciate the writing/poetry/creative communities we form and nurture.

Here again, I would like to thank the three people who came. I am grateful for their ear, attentive gaze, and generous presence.

Did all three keep their clothes on, though? I wouldn’t put it past Dethe…

  6. Daniela Elza Says:

Rob, this was Chapters. The only people who are allowed to take their clothes off are on the cover of books and magazines. :-).
Perhaps I should not wear my comfy black sweater next time.
